Being Pro Choice
Posted April 26
Many people consider themselves pro choice, people I know and have a great deal of respect for. I believe that most people who consider themselves
pro choice do so to avoid the labels that come with being pro life, bigot, anti feminist, unenlightened and religious zealot. The logic behind this
baffles me as most people who are pro choice would never personally have an abortion and believe abortion is morally wrong.
You have to look at the language used to describe those who support a woman's choice to have an abortion. I specifically used the word choice instead
of right as no god given right could possibly exist in the constitution to protect this act.
What the abortion supporters have done is frame the argument as one of choice. If you are against abortion then you believe the government has
control over a woman's body and the choices she can make. That you want to impose your extreme religious beliefs on others. They never talk
about the violent and disgusting act being performed and actively attack any attempt to publicize this brutality.
To understand the pro choice movement you have to look at the organizations that support it and the founder of the movement. Planned Parenthood is
by far the most well know organization of the pro choice movement. Their clinics are scattered throughout the country, in fact there is one close
by the office in which I work. Not surprisingly their office is located just outside a major college campus.
The founder of planned parenthood, Margaret Sanger I'm sure shares many of the same values you, the pro choice supporter does. Margaret Sanger
was a rabid racist who believed abortion is an effective tool for the purpose of "racial purification".
Don't take my word for it, read it in her own words.
Here are a few notable quotes:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her "Plan for Peace."
You have to be impressed by the marketing campaign that has managed to make the average citizen believe that they are more compassionate and
morally superior for supporting a woman's choice to kill an unborn child. A movement started by a vicious racist whose stated goal is to control
the undesirable population. How can a population that overwhelmingly believes in some form of god support a practice that no organized religion condones?
America is about 75% Christian and yet those who consider themselves pro life are only around 50+% of the population. How can you consider yourself
a Christian and support the killing of unborn children?
The pro life supporter on the other hand simply believes that if you are human then you have the god given right to life. A woman absolutely
has every right to do whatever she wants with her body but once another person begins growing inside her she does not have the right to kill
that person if it suits her needs. The child may be inside her body but it is not a part of her body. It has its own heartbeat, blood type
and feelings. She may be providing sustenance to the child but that does not give her the right to end its life.
The disturbing insistence to protect the ability to have an abortion results in the killing of approximately 1 million babies a year. To make
matters worse about 10,000 abortions are performed later than 21 weeks into the pregnancy. At this point we are taking a child that is capable of
living outside of its mother and killing it by pulling it half way out to perform the lethal operation on the screaming child.
This is what you end up with
I hope you feel much better knowing that your support of pro choice politicians ensures this result for 10,000 children a year. The
pro life movement must be the next civil rights movement in America. The civil rights movement did not succeed until the American people
were able to see racism on display. When the news finally began to show the peaceful protesters of Dr. King being attacked and beaten things
began to change. Abortion only continues because Americans have not been forced to see the brutality occurring every day. The great goal
of the pro choice movement is in fact to hide this reality through intimidation and their iron grip on the mainstream media.
Equal protection under law must be blind to race, color, religion, sex and yes even age. I don't believe we will ever be a truly civil society
until this brutal act is eradicated like slavery. Many enlightened people fought to keep slavery legal but injustice eventually is eliminated from
a just society. Who will be the Abraham Lincoln of the pro life movement? Who will finally stand up for the rights of the most innocent and
vulnerable in society. Human beings have an intrinsic value that does not come from the value placed on us by others. Just because no one will miss
them does not make them any less valuable or deserving of equal rights.
